The interpreters work in a separate cabin with sound insulation. The audience receives the information through headphones. The interpretation of speech occurs at the moment of the speech with a delay of several seconds, which requires the interpreter to instantly grasp the meaning of what was said and convey it to the audience.

The so-called “whispering” technique is a kind of simultaneous interpreting. The whispering can be performed either with the special equipment — the sear or without it. Such interpretating allows the audience to hear not only the interpreter, but also the speaker. When whispering without a sear the interpreting has an individual character: the interpreter sits next to the client and literally whispers in his or her ear. Special equipment allows to transmit the voice of the interpreter to the required number of people, and it is heard even in noisy environment (factory halls, large meetings).
